BIOGRAPHY
I am a molecular biologist with a deep passion for teaching, research, acquiring new skills, knowledge, and an ever-enthusiastic mind to understand the molecular aspects of diverse biological phenomena. For the last five years, I have been exploring my research interests in academia. Currently, I am working as a Faculty member at the Department of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering (BGE) in Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU). Before that, I worked as a Scientific Officer at Globe Biotech Limited (GBL) where I was involved in the development of stable cell lines for the production of Derbapoetin alfa in mammalian cell. Throughout my tenure at GBL, I actively engaged in various molecular techniques, including mammalian cell culture, Transfection, dot blot, ELISA, PCR, Western blotting, and others. Prior to joining GBL, I received my M.S. (2017) and B.Sc. (2015) in Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology from the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh. Besides, I have around two years of research experience (from Nov. 2015 to Nov. 2017) as a research student at Laboratory of Molecular Genetics, Department of Genetic Engineering & Biotechnology, University of Chittagong. My research interests and efforts encompass Molecular biology, Microbial pathogenesis, Immunology, Cancer Biology, Development of novel drugs, diagnostic and treatment strategies. I am also highly enthusiastic about the Genetic basis of disease and understanding how genetic variations contribute to the onset and progression of various health conditions. I am further motivated to apply the knowledge of 'Omics' science to dissect and understand the complex biological mechanisms. To support my research vision, I have combined both experimental and computational methods, and actively collaborated with the University of Chittagong, National Institute of Biotechnology (NIB), ICDDR, Band Bangladesh Reference Institute for Chemical Measurements. My research works have been published so far in leading peer-reviewed journals such as PLOS ONE, Genomics and Informatics, Egyptian Journal of Medical Human Genetics, Bangladesh Medical Council Bulletin etc. I have been awarded the National Science and Technology Fellowship by Bangladesh Government and Publication award by NSTU Research Cell. My projects are also funded through University Grants Commission Bangladesh, NACTER, NSTU Research Cell etc.
