Shyamal Kumar Paul Ph.D.
Dr. Shyamal Kumar Paul holds a Ph.D. in Biotic Environment from Iwate University, Japan, an M.S. in Aquaculture from Bangladesh Agricultural University, and a B.Sc. (Hons) in Fisheries from Khulna University. A faculty member in the Department of Fisheries and Marine Science since 2015, his research focuses on freshwater aquaculture, fish nutrition, breeding, hatchery management, and aquatic pollution.

BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Shyamal Kumar Paul earned his Ph.D. in Biotic Environment from the United Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences, Iwate University, Japan, following an M.S. in Aquaculture from the Department of Aquaculture, Faculty of Fisheries, Bangladesh Agricultural University, and a B.Sc. (Hons) in Fisheries from the Department of Fisheries and Marine Resource Technology, Khulna University. Since October 2015, Dr. Paul has served as a faculty member in the Department of Fisheries and Marine Science, where he combines teaching with an active research portfolio focused on freshwater aquaculture, fish nutrition, breeding, hatchery management, and aquatic pollution. Driven by a passion for advancing sustainable aquaculture, Dr. Paul’s work integrates scientific innovation with practical applications to support fish farmers, improve production systems, and safeguard aquatic ecosystems.
