BIOGRAPHY
Md. Atikuzzaman is employed as an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Information Sciences, Noakhali Science and Technology University, Bangladesh. He secured the first position in both his graduation and postgraduation from the Department of Information Science and Library Management, University of Dhaka. His academic excellence has earned him several prestigious awards and recognitions, including The Excellence Student Award (Student of the Year) 2019 by The Librarian Times (TLT), Lion Md. Jonab Ali and Farjana Jonab Gold Medal and Md. Shahid Ullah Gold Medal in two consecutive convocations, as well as two Dean’s Awards from the University of Dhaka. As a researcher, his interest focuses on the ethical use of information, knowledge management, information literacy, social media analysis, cloud computing, and the use of technology in libraries. He has published seventeen research articles so far in leading international journals by Elsevier, Sage, Emerald, Taylor & Francis, and other publishers. For his research excellence, he received Highest Publishing Scholar Award 2023 and Research Contribution Award 2023 from Noakhali Science and Technology University in 2025. He has been actively involved as a member of the Association for Information Science and Technology (ASIS&T) South Asia Chapter since 2018, served as a Treasurer for the 2023-24 term, and presently serving as the Chair-Elect of the same chapter.
