Tonmoy Dey holds a BBA and MBA in Management Information Systems. His research interests lie in the FinTech domain, encompassing digital finance, mobile and online payments, blockchain applications, cryptocurrency, financial technology adoption, and innovation in financial services. He is committed to advancing knowledge in these areas and intends to pursue higher studies to further his research contributions.

BIOGRAPHY
Tonmoy Dey is an assistant professor in the Department of Management Information Systems at Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU), Bangladesh, with over seven years of academic and professional experience. He specializes in Financial Technology (FinTech), focusing on innovations in digital finance, mobile and online payments, blockchain applications, cryptocurrency, and the adoption of emerging financial technologies. He earned his BBA and MBA in Management Information Systems from the Faculty of Business Studies, University of Dhaka, graduating with excellent academic results. Before joining NSTU, Mr. Dey gained practical experience in both industry and academia, serving as a Young Professional at BRAC, a Growth Marketer at Aaroza Infotech, and a Lecturer in MIS at City University, Bangladesh. These experiences enriched his understanding of technology, finance, and organizational dynamics. Mr. Dey has made significant contributions to research in FinTech and MIS. His work has been published in Scopus-indexed and peer-reviewed journals, including Sage, Universe Publishing Group, Canadian Center of Science and Education, IFJIR Publishers, IRJET, Asian Business Consortium, and EPRA Journals. He has also presented papers at international conferences such as MIET and EISBG, with some works currently under review for Taylor & Francis conference proceedings and book chapters. In addition to research, Mr. Dey is actively involved in institutional leadership and student development. He currently serves as Assistant Director at the Students’ Counseling and Guidance Office, NSTU, and has formerly held positions as Assistant Provost of a student hall at NSTU, and Project Lead of the MBA Curriculum Development Committee in the Department of MIS, NSTU. He also served as Joint Secretary for the EISBG Conference 2024, highlighting his commitment to academic service and institutional initiatives. His work has been recognized with several honors, including NSTU Research Cell Project Grants and the Best Research Award and Best Paper Award from the Faculty of Business Studies, NSTU, across multiple years, as well as the Event Leadership Award at EISBG Conference 2024, acknowledging his contributions to research, teaching, and leadership. Born and raised in Maijdee, Noakhali, he completed his early education at Noakhali Zilla School and higher secondary studies at Dhaka City College. His journey from local roots to becoming a recognized researcher and educator demonstrates his dedication to knowledge, innovation, and the development of the next generation of professionals in Bangladesh. Looking ahead, Mr. Dey remains committed to advancing research and scholarship in FinTech and MIS and intends to pursue higher studies to further deepen his expertise and impact in these areas.
