Mimma Tabassum

Currently, Mimma Tabassum is serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Statistics at Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU), Bangladesh. She earned her B.Sc. (Honors) and M.Sc. (Thesis) degrees in Statistics from Jahangirnagar University, Savar, Dhaka. Her master’s thesis was titled “Shrinkage Estimation of the Covariance Matrix.” Mimma began her teaching career at NSTU, where she has been actively contributing to academic development, research, and student mentorship. She is deeply passionate about teaching and guiding students to apply statistical knowledge to real-life problems. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Mimma is actively involved in research and has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals. She continues to engage in various research projects, with several upcoming findings expected to be published soon. She has also served as a volunteer reviewer for several international journals. Mimma is enthusiastic about collaborative and multidisciplinary research and remains committed to advancing knowledge through both teaching and scholarship.
