BIOGRAPHY
I, Khandakar Taki Md. Sadi is a lecturer in the Department of Soil, Water, and Environmental Sciences at Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU) in Bangladesh. My teaching and research interests include sustainable agriculture, soil health, and environmental management. My main research interests are organic farming, precision agriculture, heavy metal pollution, microplastic contamination, and remote sensing. I am particularly interested in using GIS technology and advanced analytical tools to monitor environmental quality, increase soil productivity, and promote sustainable farming practices. Through my research and teaching, I hope to help establish science-based solutions for environmental conservation, food security, and sustainable natural resource management.

IMPACT OF ORGANIC AND INORGANIC FERTILIZERS ON THE GROWTH, BIOMASS, AND NUTRIENT UPTAKE IN ONION (ALLIUM CEPA L.)
Abstract: A pot experiment was carried out to investigate the impact of various organic and inorganic manures on the growth and overall performance of Onion (Allium cepa L.). Six treatments, including control, were arranged in a completely randomized design (CRD) with three replications. The highest plant height (43.50 cm), leaf number (15 plant-1), leaf area (27.5 cm2), fresh weight (24.71 g plant-1) and dry weight (5.68 g plant-1) was observed in the T3 treatment (TC 5 ton/ha). Concentration of N, P and K was 5.40%, 0.05% and 1.13% and uptaken 106.04%, 0.98% and 22.15% respectively by leaf. A considerable amount of N, P and K was also accumulated by root and bulb; therefore, all these nutrient contents were noticed highest in T3 treatment. These findings indicate that Trichocompost (5 tonha-1) provided the most favorable conditions for the overall growth and development of onion.
