ICT Cell of NSTU

<p>The government has adopted a comprehensive action plan to ensure the development of information and communication technology in the country and its utilization across all sectors. To achieve this objective, the National Information and Communication Technology Policy 2009 has been formulated.</p> <p>The University Grants Commission has been entrusted with the responsibility to execute policy matters pertaining to higher education. In this regard, the Commission has initiated a comprehensive program for enhancing ICT in higher education. Efforts are currently underway to establish BdREN for facilitating high-speed internet connectivity under the Higher Education Quality Improvement Project.</p> <p>Significant advancements have been made in establishing campus networks in universities under BDREN and AIF components. Additionally, efforts continue to connect universities to the International Research Education Network.</p> <p>The Ministry of Education has formulated an ICT in Education Master Plan aimed at ensuring the integration of ICT across all educational institutions nationwide, including higher education.</p> <p>In accordance with the ICT Policy 2009, there is a proposal to establish ICT-rich cells in all universities. The establishment of ICT Cells in all universities following a standardized structure is envisioned to enhance the quality of education, fostering a balanced workforce in higher education and facilitating mutual cooperation and knowledge exchange among universities.</p> <p>Continuing from there, the NSTU ICT Cell was formally established on January 26, 2017, with the aim of fostering the development of information and communication technology at Noakhali Science and Technology University.</p> <p>We, the ICT Cell, comprise a team of engineers and technicians dedicated to providing network, hardware, software, and technology services to all stakeholders of the University.</p>
